MORTEM ET ANXIETAS

MORTEM ET ANXIETAS (Death of Worry)

I feel my heart is wrenching and
ask myself is it all worth it?
The pain... the crying... the anguish...

Why do we so much drench our
hearts in the river of worry ?
why do we fall asleep in the pit
of our doubts and uncertainties
and then wake still in the abyss
of struggles, drenched in the mist
& fog of pains and heartbreaks ?

is worry not futile? though it
perseveres for a while, yet when
it's gone, man forgets all of it.

Are not our hearts, fragile as
the thickness of a silk, yet strong
as the walls of a city designed to
be flooded with the breathe of
our own happiness and be stormed
with the wind of joy?

Isn't our soul, that gate between
our spirits and the outside world a
work of art designed to be guarded
in a serene atmosphere & ambience
of love, peace and stillness like the
gentle tides of a river ?

Men will rather spend years living
in the pains of their past regrets
and failed accomplishments.
they'll say;

"O, had I done it like this, things
would have gone better, if I had
married the other beautiful lady,
we would probably have golden
babies now in our golden homes,

if I had been born in France, I'll
have lived the best of my lives"
Decades pass by, yet they grow
old in these regrets and die in their deathbeds with the shame that
comes with it, not ending up living
the very best of their lives!

Haven’t you heard of that artiste,
the best in his community who drew magnificent portraits of beauty
depicting the wonderful awe and
grandeur of artistry yet was always criticized out of jealousy by his
subordinates and the villagers?

How he left his domain and went
to the next, hoping to receive better compliments from a new breed of
folks, which when he reached the
gate of the other city was laughed
at and scorned by her indwellers
and passersby.

Haven't you heard of how out of
shame he got a rope and hanged
himself at the entrance back to his
own village?

Rather than worry, embrace
happiness. embrace joy and live
the best of life not minding how
people feel about your success,
failures, downsets or progress!!

live the good life!
live Limitless!!
